Something to Keep Us Warm, by Stephen GreggDRAMAStudent Director: Sadie K.Norma is dealing with dementia due to advancing brain cancer. She believes that a holiday called Thanksgiving Trick or Treat is upon her but the tablesweat (her own invention) isn’t finished. In her growing cloudiness, she can’t remember which of her daughters is older. How does a family balance love with watching one of their own disappear? This heartbreaking one act has moments of endearing sweetness and is a wonderfully deep experience for students onstage and off.
Jack in the Box, by Scott MullenSUSPENSE/HORRORStudent Director: Cole M.Four teenage girls at a slumber party are tempted by a voice from a box, which claims to be able to direct them to the future they want, if only they'll do what it says—and give it what it needs...
Waiting for the Bus, by Benjamin ConnorTRAGICOMEDYStudent Director: Alyssa B.Leo can't stop talking about dead philosophers. Ryan can't stop thinking about April. And Casey...is a quiet mystery. The lives of four teens intersect every morning at the neighborhood bus stop, where their tranquil camaraderie gives way to a deeper dissatisfaction with the way things are. When relationships begin to fray and secrets are pushed into the open, the only constant is the clockwork arrival of the bus.
Produced by special arrangement with YouthPLAYS (www.youthplays.com) and Theatrefolk (www.theatrefolk.com).
